Anybody ever save any weight tinning the floors in their stock suspension mustang with aluminum? Basically building a 25.5 cage, but removing the factory floors and replacing them with aluminum. Is there any weight savings or is it a wash?

my buddy has the floor cut out of a car , i'll try to get a weight from it if no one responds
doesn't feel very heavy though , just like most of the sheet metal parts on a stang

this doesnt quite answer your question, but..... i cut out the floor and frame rails from start of the rear floor to the back, and weighed it , it amounted to a little over a # 100

Dont forget, when you cut the factory floor out, you will need the x-bracing in the floor.....Im sure this is the heavier route...
