I have Norton anti virus and I have used both of those programs and got spyware and had to reboot my system. I dont download music at all now, looking for somewhere safe to start back up.
we had the same problem, took a while to clean up the mess. we had win mx and kazaa lite
I've still got stuff on the start up menu that I have unchecked but can't get rid of

I'm in the same boat.. Used limewire and kazaa and also sharebear and all of them screwed my computer up.. Its been some years since I used them but would rather not deal with the problems.. How do i convert my CD's into MP3 format.. Is there a software I need to buy or is it already something that comes with windows XP?

Kazaa is the worst for loading spyware. limewire load just one, much friendlier.

Converting you CD's to mp3 is cake.

If you have windows you window media player, the one that plays those videos you give us will "rip" you cds to wma or mp3 (check you default settings as the default for windows media player is .wma).

Or you can download lots of differnt players that rip. I think winamp is one you that rips. ripping is what is the name of the process to copy you CD on you computer in mp3 (others but that's an advanced class).

Another is musicmatch

Here is another bunch
