Msd 6al hook up question, ford duraspark replacement..
I am replacing the ford dura spark ignition on my boat with an msd 6al and I put the red trigger wire where the wire that went to the positive side of the coil was, which is a switched wire, tested it with a light. Boat start fine but will not shut off unless I pull the trigger wire off, this spot also has the field wire for the alt on it, could it be back feeding the trigger wire?? Where would be a better place for the trigger wire??
