When I put the car in low (1st) gear it locks up like its in park. I've checked the cable adjustment several times and even recruited some help starting in nuteral and making sure the cable fitting (I bolt) went into the slot in every gear. I pulled the tranny and noticed some metal shavings in the fluid so now I'm trying to figure out this problem. last week was a leak which it looks as if the servo cover was the culprit. thanks
to undo the servo mod, there is a return hole under the servo cover there should be a 1/8in plug in the hole pull the plug out and replace with a Sonnax C code servo or a PA servo or even a TCI H servo code they all work great and then set the band at 1-1/2 turns out and forget it.
I've got a guy picking it up today and he's just going to go throught everything. I bought it fresh but from a guy on a local sight and it was built by an unknown builder so I will fell better having it completely gone through by some who will stand by their work. plus the guy I bought it from is stepping up and having it fixed. thanks for your help.
