To build an Outlaw 10.5 turbo car and be competitive, be ready to shell out 85K+ if you don't want to do any work at all. And that estimate is probably low.....

Now if you do some of your own fabrication and the such it will help, but I believe in hard parts (starting from scratch) you'll have somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-50K.

These are just my estimates.... I am building an Outlaw 10.5 turbo car basically from scratch, except I already had the motor and the shell of a car. Everything else is basically brand new. And this bieotch is gonna be bad!!! :shock: :-D

I se a trend Jimmy... local 10.5 and outlaw stuff is on the rise and may be what saves drag racing in the local venue.

It's been big in the SE for years... now it seems to be catching on elsewhere. :shock:

Looks like the turbo option is out... what about blowthru Jim?

Blow-thru's are cool for sure. But you should ask Don Bailey about those things. If you have a street car and want to have something unique that makes stupid power.... that is it. But you won't find a competitive Outlaw car that has a blow thru.

I am going to run COTT, and maybe a few big races like Orlando, Alabama, etc.

Preacherman, just look at Jeff Lutz's blow thru outlaw car. 7.37 I think on 10.5's so far. He's just getting into tuning it. I too think there's more to a blow thru than meets the eye. You MIGHT be a little faster with EFI, but is it really worth it. Blow thru stuf is coming into it's own now. Powski has helped that movement alot. Niceguy might be correct about the upper 10% being EFI, but there is a good chance still for blow thru. :roll:
