hi i would like to here some of the mild engines making 750 hp ex small cam big head combos that makes them killer sleepers mine is a 410 cubes 230 cc heads flow 320 cfm 11.5 comp 254/269 solid roller [email protected] in 3550 lbs car i think it could go that fast on a lot smaller cam? thanks

Mine is fairly mild..

Stock 2 bolt block 421
Eagle crank and rods
Used JE pistons
Iron eagle heads
Flat tappet cam
Single spray bar plate

my street car is an 85 camaro,3830lbs,4.10 gear,glide,29x14.5 hoosier QTP's..605bbc with 9.1 comp,360cc topline heads,dart intake,4150 carb from pro systems..660lift solid street roller..very mild and idles at 750rpm,super tight 10in converter..shift at 6200 and crosses at 6300 on motor..last night in the heat went 1.61 60ft,10.74 at 127(700ish hp?)....turn on a 95n pill and went 1.37 60ft, 9.33 at 144...didnt turn on the 2nd stage(70n)..but last time i did it went 9.12 at 149.has a crossbar plate set up as a 2 stage.

My last years combo was a 10.7 compression 427 sbc with box stock Dart 230s and a Comp cams mech roller. 4150 BG Nitrous Works single stage plate.

3120lb 1984 Corvette. Stock independant suspension. Th350, PTC 4500 footbrake converter.

[email protected] on an 82N jet.

My combo is very similar to 68, 4.10 gear, ptc converter very tight 10 inch, 509 merlin short block , 315cc afr heads, 9.3 to 1 compression, .660 lift lunati solid roller with afr girdle, vic jr intake ported, aed 1000 cfm 4150 carb,2 1/2 inch flowmaster exhuast to the rear bumper, 2756015 mickey pro drag radial 8 inch wheels, Engine peaked 6600 on dyno 699 horse 626 torque 39 total timing, at the track with air cleaner and exhuast I shift about 6400 with air filter off 6800 runs the same though. 6.99 et 99mph motor, 1.37 60 foot 6.27 et 111mph nitrous 75 jet cheater plate. Very nice and quiet cruiser air fuel at idle is 15 runs very clean. I have not run the 1/4 yet but hoping for at least a high 9, Maybe I will carry a 95n jet to make sure. I hope I dont run out of gear.

68 is my all steel race car(except hood of course)..this is my 85 street car...but thanks.

68 what rpm do you go through the lights on nitrous?
have a shitty tach so i dont look..shiftlight is on at 6200 at the 1000ft'ish mark so i would guess 6600 to 6800.would probably be faster with a 3.73 gear cause its out of its best rpm range...but it has a 12bolt and pro gears start at a 4.10 and street gears will not live in it.

My old street engine that was driven tons, a .060 GM 400 block, GM stock 400 crank, GM stock 400 rods with ARP bolts, TRW forged pistons milled down to a .125 dome. Crower .674 lift solid roller, box stock dart 215's, a match ported Perf. Prod. Hurricane, and a quick fuel 750. NOS big shot plate with an .082 nitrous jet. 3200 lb all steel first gen on a 275 with a 1.80 glide and a 4.10

5.80 @ 121

Drove that motor for years and years on the street. This was about 7 or 8 years ago. Sold it, and as far as I know it's still running in a bracket car today. Damn good motor, probably only had about 4000.00 in the whole engine. IMO, that was a relatively mild combo.

my new combo is a 408 with 230 cnc heads comp will be 11.6 comp the cam will be a hyd roller cam adv 294/302 050 243/251 lift 580 net on a 110 l/c and a 90 jet will it work all is cam getting to small for that jet

11.56 @ 116.5 on motor 10.41 @ 126.5 mph on 63 pill in eBay cheater plate.

Mine is pretty mild an runs good

Stock 350 block splayed main caps
Steel crank
I beam rods
Off the shelf 11.1 pistons
Brodix 215's
And a 28 jet in the fogger it went 9.39 on a very soft ramp on the progressive only had a 1.38 sixty foot
Motor is a 383 with a th350 trans
Car has never been weighed but I would say it's atleast 3200 pounds
Car also runs on 93 octane with c16 in a dedicated fuel cell

How much timing are you pulling? Also, what is the difference in 60 foot?

32 na -7 plug, 30 -9 on bottle, no box for timing, I turn the dist. 1.58 60' na, 1.38 on bottle

My Nova has a 421 stock 2 bolt block, 11:1 cam is in the mid .6XX with some old Brodix 11X heads victor style 4150 intake with an 4500 adapter plate with a single spray bar in it. Power glide with 1.76 and a 4.30 out back through the mufflers has been 1.30 60' 5.7X at 118 and 9.20 @144. It's a good combo for me. I drive it around town on pump and bracket race it on the motor.

Nice what duration is the cam what jet she works well
