I was originally going to use sch 10 stainless, but i'm not happy with the bends i'm able to get. since this is methanol i'm thinking of using a 16g stainless tube, and am wondering what guidlines you guys have on tube thickness for a methanol turbo header. With methanol would there be a large advantange using the sch 10 instead of the 16g. would an 18g tube be considered to thin.. I am planning on getting this stuff coated when its done also.

Strength is the main advantage to the pipe fittings. Turbo has to be supported using standard tubing.

If the turbo will be supported, go with 16ga. for the weight savings. I use alot of sch 10 piping but only on my production stuff where its supporting the full weight of the turbo.

make it 16g 321 stainless with it supported and slip jointed and you'll have a set of headers that last a long time.
