merge pipe

Is there any disadvantage to running a section of pipe between the merge and turbine housing rather than 2 pipes merged right at the turbine? thanks

It allows the two volumes of air and pressure to become one before entering the turbo.
Plus offers a better location to put a single wastegate.

so its ok to run a single pipe to the turbo? the reason for asking is because I need a place for my gate.

Put the pipe all the way up inside turbine housing close to wheel.

That is not necessarily true. :smt018 Either way can work very well, however regardless of the path you choose it has to be done right for it to work properly. You can fuck up one just as easy as the other.
