STK, hope you don't have it. Not good. Had a friend years ago who's wife had it. Lost touch with him, I have no idea how it turned out.

Not me. But somebody close may have it. Not confirmed. Did a google search and the results sucked. So I ask yb. Yb is better than google for most things......

This year on the East End of L I almost all tic bites are transmitting Lymes.

Came home from working in Montauk and pulled a deer tic off my balls. Bitch was in there good.
Friend at work had the same thing happen to him and he got Lymes disease.
He told me go right to the Dr and he will give you doxycycline, If you take just 2 pills within 72 hours of the tic bite it will prevent Lymes.
Worked for me.

Another guy at work is being treated for Lymes. He never new he had been bitten and he's been and he's been on doxycycline for a month.
He lost a week of work but is doing ok now.

Some doctors really mis-diagnose it also. In the case I know of, that's what happened. Went on too long before diagnosis. Thought it was a dozen other things before they figured it out.

The sooner caught, the better.

Once you have it, you technically have forever; but that doesn't mean you have problems forever. Once treated with anti-biotics for a month, it becomes dormant. It can become active, & then repeat anti-biotics.

I 1st got it last summer & no problems after the crappy month

People like to milk it due to some doctors that let them

Yeah I had it for a while before I told the doctor to test for it. He didn't want to test for it because he thought it was unlikely. Sure enough tests came back positive. Pretty sure I had it for about 2 months before I got put on doxycycline. Took several years for the symptoms to fade away and they still come back from time to time. They longer you have it before treatment, the worse it messes you up and the longer it takes to get over the initial effects.

My daughter had it at 5 but we caught it the same day, bulls eye around the bite mark, had it treated and she was just tired for a few days/week. No reoccurring systems since.

Got Lyme when I was a kid. Now every few years I randomly start feeling like shit can't focus, feel lazy, almost depressed or something? Go to the doctor, always Lyme related. Know of a guy who died because of it, buthe went untreated for years.

My first bosses wife had it in the early-mid 90s. They had her figured dead! For years they couldn't figure it out, she was slowly dying and no one knew what to do. Finally they went to a Indian doctor guy, he discovered it and treated her. She is doing great.

I only found out because a ex employee got hired back in and asked if she was still alive(this was in 2008). He said it was terrible they had a will, and casket and everything ready. She great, I stopped by his home and saw them a few months ago still doing great.

the only way to do it right is dive in an oxygen chamber for thirty five days straight. you have to kill the live ones and the eggs.

A guy at work did taxidermy work on the side and got it. He is getting better. Went to a natural path, takes tons and pills and changed his diet. I could get more details if you'd like

Brooke Landau
San Diego Fox5 weather girl
SURVIVOR OF A NEARLY LETHAL 12-year battle with Lyme disease, Channel 10 News traffic reporter Brooke Landau is not faint of heart. During her battle with Lyme, she developed a number of medical conditions, including spinal meningitis, gallstones, colitis and heart arrhythmia. She finally tested negative for Lyme several months ago——thanks to a doctor who put his medical license on the line (and later lost it).
Landau’s physician pumped high doses of non-FDA-approved antibiotics into her heart for two months and put her through 30 days of treatment in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to cure her condition. She’s walked the runway for top designers (Valentino and Gucci, to name two), founded the Children’s Alliance Network (a nonprofit that aids sick children worldwide) and served as a feature reporter for ESPN. Her exceptional inner drive, upbeat outlook and refusal to compromise her beliefs stem from the genuine belief that anyone’s life can take a positive turn.

Here is her story on your tube.
