I am currently trying to decide and efi manifolds. Everyone is quick to say Fast 92mm but I thinking victor jr. efi with an elbow. The engine is a ls1 with heads and cam in an 87 monte carlo so I plenty of room under the hood. Can anyone give me some definite answers like dyno tests or personal experience. I have an LS6 intake on there now.

I went with the Vic Jr. from an LS6. If I had to do it again, I think I would have went with a FAST. On the spray I like my Vic, it pulls hard past 7K but, I lost alot of low end TQ on motor. I didn't swap the cam to match the intake though so the low end is my own fault.

Fast = overpriced

Single plane with elbow is a better cost efficient setup. You will loose a little bottom end but if your running a good size stall then you wont notice it then. LS motors love the top end.

The carb intakes when used with elbows for EFI N/A applications, the air distribution gets really fucked up in the intake due to said elbow. It's a great combo for forced induction but it's not optimal for N/A.

Take what Lason said and then replace the elbow with a 4150 style throttle body..........you get the torque back........and then some.

I had a intakeelbows.com elbow with a 5K stall, and still felt the difference. When everything is said and done I think the cost is really close to a FAST setup. Between rails, fittings, etc.

Now I have a 4150 TB on top of the intake, and love it.

I know a guy that had a 383ci with an F1, he was running a victor/elbow setup and switched to a fast 90-90 and picked up 60 hp at peak. What caused it who knows?? Maybe one of those tight radius elbows.

Vic jr with a top mount tb and a 1" spacer. You have to have the cam match or it will not do what you want.l To many guy have a cam for a stock style intake then put a vic on with an elbow and lose low end tq. change the cam and they would pick it back up plus some.

It's a matter of one having more of something than the other.

Volume.

Get a GMPP. You have to port the shit out of the jr. SV is another story. If you turn the air before the TB (hat) there's little to no restriction or disruption of air flow. If you run a spider than you must throw a 4150 accufab or simular. Forget the 90mm tb with the alum intake. Might as well run the fast.

thank you guys for the input, i was looking at the victor jr only because the motor is mild, trick flow heads and cam combo on a 346ci. if i get the chance to build a larger 427 or 454ci motor i will probably go victor sr and 4150 tb though

the Vic Jr's are cut to use o-rings on the heads-some have had trouble cracking along the bottom lip, mine did-i sent pics to Edelbrock, they never responded, so i just welded it up (2 runners)
one thing i noticed when i pulled the intake, i had used NAPA o rings (their orange), cause they were cheaper than GM-they all had deterioated, so i switched back to GM
