im going to be putting a pair of prc ls3s on in and a 1000cmf race carb. with vic jr .. not sure if its going to be hyj or not lifter wise im trying to stay kinda cheep so caddy lifter most likely

with that being put out looking at 7500+-700 rpm what chain do I wanna go with I have a ls2 on my dd that sees 7k just about every week and now has 30K on it... or do I break down and buy a double chain set?

ps this is going in a 3000-3200bs car track use mostly any input is welcome

If you have spent good money on a built engine, why stop at a single chain and protect the investment with a double?

Call Cloyes and get their hex-a-just timing set with their "Z" chain.

That's really all you need.

The cloyes Z chain is good, as is the katech c5r chain.

The BIGGEST thing you can do is run the Bowie shaped LS2 dampener or guide. If you run the LS3 chain guide, THAT will break, and the chain and engine will break next.

roll master double roller chain is what I use. fairly cheap too

I would run the katech chain. And Louis is correct. Don't run the tensioner, just the chain dampener.
