I'm in the process of buying a Featherlite 3110 open auto hauler, I got a quote from a local dealer for $5,500 out the door, they have a bunch of different sizes, the one I am looking at is 17'6"x 17'6", anyone have any opinions (good or bad) on these trailers, do you think this size is sufficient or should I get the 20 footer (Vega) is going to be hauled. Let me know what you think.

very nice trailers. just sold one a few months ago. the longer one will be overkill unless you need to haul a 4 wheeler with the Vega on the trailer. you will love the way it tows and if you go to sell it down the road you will get virtually all your cash back unless you trash it. of course if the deal was close in price between the 2 just get the longer one. it will help resale also.

8.6 sounds alot better. As far as Featherlite trailers go i think they are awsum! I've had three. Still own two and wouldn't part with either one. The reason i would go with the 20 footer is most cars are 18 ft. or better and i think resale would be easier with a 20 ft.
