1969 350 cu in 300 hp to 350 hp 4 bolt main LT1

at 500 hp it will not make as much hp as a bow tie block which has much thicker cylinder walls. if your going to make that much power it is recomended that you sonic test the cylinder walls if you are going more than .020 overbore.

hope this helps

Odd seeing there plenty of 350 blocks 30 an 60 over doing 600-800hp with out splayed mains..shit i made around 750hp with. 69 2 bolt main block..mike fratina was around 1k with his turbo deal peeped an splayed..he did run into problems pulling head studs out the. Block once he upped the turbo size..but the block had over 3 seasons on it.

Org poster do a search for stock block limits..u will be suprised..im about to be around 800 on a newer 2 bolt lt1 block.

A friend of mine made 800, with a GM 350 block, splayed caps, out of the box 200cc pro 1's, and a Procharger. He actually made that number with a GM steel crank too, but has since gone to an aftermarket 4340 crank. Another buddy of mine makes 650+ on spray with a stock 350 block, crank, and rods. Stock stuff will take some amazing abuse, that is if the tune up is right....
