I'll admit I'm not up on street car stuff, but looking at the pic, I would think it would take alot of support with two carbs, let alone one to keep that scoop living. It apears to be forward facing, so why would'nt you want something a little less aerodynamically challenged and put an actual scoop on the hood? I'm not rag'n on you, just ask'n?
I do know that Lexan can be broke 90 degrees and holds it's shape nicely, not making it extremely difficult to build a scoop like that.
i've made a few of them.they are ok with two carbs but one is a little tricky.david reese makes them and they are really nice.the hardest part is making the aluminum bottom.bending the lexan isnt that bad you just have to over bend it to get a 90 degree bend.
