Have any of you run for any local positions? We have a guy running unopposed in the mayoral race and I am thinking about running a write in campaign for myself

The current Mayor isn't running for relection and no one but this one guy got his paperwork in, so he is running upopposed unless someone puts up a write in challenge since it's too late to get on the ballot. I just thought, and have thought this way for a while that I would be a good canidate. It's not a paying position, or if it is it's very minimal. Town is about 26K people. Changes need to be made and I don't see the guy that is running doing anything but harm.

From friends who have : tons of time and tons of grief and aggravation plus some satisfaction knowing you are doing the right thing and trying to make a difference. Is it worth it? Opinions vary.

write in stuff is hard, your best bet would have been to get on the ballot but since that's too late, you are gonna have to get your name out there and get signs up around the polling place to have a chance.

Just don't use pro-Obamacare as your platform or Hope & Change as your slogan and you should be good to go.
