Theres some great info in that timing retard thread but it seems to assume the use of c16 so I figure Id start a pump gas specific timing thread.

Dont want it to turn into a pissing match so just list the info for your particular combo. Limit this to 93 octane or less pump swill. List motor, compression, turbo inducer size, boost, timing and a/f ratio. Spark plug choice might be good as well. :)

Thats a pretty good amount of timing. What heads are you running? My current shit motor has some godawfull TBI heads and they seem to need a crapload of timing to get a clean pull.

I've ran over 30psi of boost on pump fuel with the compression in the 7s on quite a few cars. Road cars, road fuel.

Had twin master power t70’s but went Twin turbonetics 72mm hurricanes along with liquid intercooler
Had a treadstone air air but went air water eventually

Dyno’d 1009 whp on 24 psi with air air. 24 deg timing i think it was on dyno but turned down to 22 on street and track. Dyno doesnt load hard. Went 8.90’s at 156 at 3700-3750 lbs roughly. Straight 93 oct pump no meth
The air air cooler sucked so went air water. Had to richen up and pull timing after 1/8 mile, iat over 150

Has been 8.88 at 154 with the air water and t72’s on a better 60’ at slightly heavier 3800 lbs. probably could have gone faster but i started using vp110

388 sbc , AFR195 heads
-15 custom dish JE pistons
copper gaskets , o-ring block
water to air , no ice
small shot of Boost Juice starting at 13psi

Conservative on the street as it doesnt need to be on the edge .

Track tune is on 34psi of boost , so no pump gas there . No water meth either . Ice and C16 .

Back in the day 12 years ago. 7.7s at 190 mph. 3400 lbs on bfg radials. Same car ran 7.41 at 197mph on Q16 and ET streets, same weight. Approx 2200hp.
