high 8's in the 1/8th mile. Should I invest the time and money for a line lock? It's an automatic car and I run drag radials. I do a first to 2nd gear burn out with the tires wet with no issues.

not needed and if this is a glide car do your burnout in high, if a 3 speed start in 2nd and immediately shift to 3rd. either way keep the burnout to 4 seconds max
