If you're defining "hit" as increased separation or increased rise of the rear of the car during launch, you'd be going in the wrong direction.

you will also be shorting the instant center, will {shock} hit the rear tires harder, may also cause the front end to lift on take off because of instant center being shorter.

My ladder bar car also hits softer when you lower the bar. Less wheelie.

You probably missed it, but this is a ladder bar car, not a 4link. The instant center is at the ladder pivot, so lowering the pivot lessens the rear end rise, separation, or "hit," as it's normally defined.
