Mark Williams recommends a yearly magnaflux inspection on their axles. Depending on the number of passes you make I would set up an inspection schedule on your parts.

That's a great idea. MY M/W's have hundreds of pass's at 6.50-6.60's, and hundreds more at 7.60's and there is no wear noticeable.
Testing would be great insurance and piece of mind.

With all the engine, trans, safety, truck, trailer, tools, equipment etc etc stuff we deal with, I admit, axles are not something I think of often enough.

Again, excellent advice!!!

My buddies SS/AA car wore out the splines in a M-W spool. He was using M-W axles also. It took about 300 passes and alot of hang time. JD lobosco
