Chevy is cheeper because more parts are interchangable
Ford there are to many parts that dont interchange and the oil pan is backwards

If your not planning on goin crazy fast, or just bracket racing, chevy is definatly the way to go.....Cheap, reliable, and available. Now if your goin heads up racing, your gonna spend a fortune no matter what you go with.

It's all the same junk once you're going fast. One has 4 head bolts, one has 5 per cylinder. The rest comes down to cylinder heads and intakes.

I think that all we are really seeing is an onslaught of Ford small block cylinder heads and intake development as Chris has stated. Chevy has always had a great number of aftermarket parts available for their engines. Your just witnessing the Ford catch up so to speak. Wait until Chrysler starts with the new 5.7 Hemi head for their small block program, they will catch up next and you will be saying wow!
Dollar for dollar when you get to a certain point it doesn't matter much.....
