I have the Milodon 12700 gear drive and they include a laminated thrust washer which peels apart in .003 parts.

How in the hell do you peel it apart?

Thanks.

I did some research on how they were made. They are held together with a resin. So I use my heat gun to warm up the resin and they peeled like a hot knife through butter.

I was able to peel .003 with no problems...

Thanks for the reply.

Milodon said to set the thrust clearance from .000 - .005, I set it at .003. I figured there would be some expansion with heat.

What do you guys think?
