What should I run the top port on the block to?? top of the water pump or top of the radiator? Whats best?

I drilled and tapped the top of my water pump, Kurt told me it looked fine. I know some run it to the radiator.

The best spot is highest point in the cooling system, but your package may not allow that. With the factory waterpump it is not as critical as you will have great water flow/pressure in the engine when you are running the engine hard. Not really looking for high flow here, just steady flow to keep the air out of the heads.

typically the filler cap/ radiator cap should be the hightest point in your system. If it is, just below the cap is a great spot.

I've ran a bunch of them to the bottom of the thermostat housing.. Seems to work very well, and never had a issue with it.

But obviously not the overflow one in the radiator neck. I only mention this because I once saw a guy that ran it to that port as most aftermarket radiators don't have a high port in the tank.

Top
