I don't know of anyone running them in race cars. They are tuned for a specific frequency. Solid roller cams and valve train noise may set them off. Solid motor mounts may be another issue. I would not worry about trying to use them myself. One sensor most people leave-off when using EFI that has data acquisition built into it is a crankcase vacuum sensor. That is a cheap $75 (or less) piece that most race engines should have.

Thanks I thought so, just wanted to double check. I always datalog crank case vacuum, very important running tool.
