I have a BBC that took out a lifter and some of the debris put some small knicks in the leading edge of the connecting rod and at the small end. 1/8" across at most. They are good Manley rods in an engine that is making 1100hp. Do I need to replace the rod?

Post a pic if you can but it sounds like you now have a set of Manley rods with a bunch of stress risers in them---no doubt i would change if they were mine,,,,
