We have only dealt with Jones Cams twice. He reground a stock reverse rotation cam for us recently. The two dealings we had went smoothly and we're happy with his work and timeframes. Ours were no rush jobs, but we got both jobs sooner than he promised. No complaints here.
Your experience is the norm. We answer emails within 48 hours. We answer the phone from 9am-5pm. Our sales for the 1st quarter of this year, was up over 100% from the 1st quarter last year. That caused a lot of issues with filling orders. The whole industry saw huge sales increases, and the cam core manufacturers fell way behind on filling orders. There's some odd cam cores, we've had on order for 4 months now. We've had a handful of customers, who could not wait, and we fully refunded their money, as soon as they asked. As for the OP's order, we obviously dropped the ball, but I don't see any unanswered emails from the 6 weeks before his first post. We've emptied the spam folder since then, so I have no way of knowing if they went to spam, or not. Either way, we let him down, and refunded his money.
