i am trying to replace rusted out trans lines, bought some prebent ones, but no way their going in w/o major disassembly, and tired of rem rusted crap, just adds to the problem
i am thinking of cutting the new lines, install, and put them back together
what is best, double flare, union, or can i use a comp union(easiest)
on brakes i def do the double flare, but fig a comp. union would work on the trans lines

For daily driver stuff, a compression fitting works fine and is well within the pressure ratings. Make sure the old line is clean and rust free where you splice in.
