One of the local tracks is going to start a street car class. But it requires a hard tire, radial or bias ply. No drag radials, DOTs or slicks allowed. What is the best hard tire to run and try and hook on. My truck normally runs Mid 6s on drag radials. I run all motor and no power adders. I can run as big as a 29.5 x 15.5 on the Truck. I have this thread in a different section. But this maybe where I need to ask instead. I heard M/T has a good hooking hard tire. If so what is it & how big can you get. I have a 12" rim.

With your wheel size, there is only one option for a "hard" compounded tire.

29X15.00R15LT Sportsman S/R part # 6620 (although the minumum required rim is 13.0")

Some guys have gone (relatively) "quick" on these, but they are not really designed for the dragstrip.

Thanks,

Jason Moulton
