[1980 Monte Carlo]

Looking for help on IHRA rules. All online IHRA Competition Driver license forms show that you need a IHRA competition license if you run than 6.50 in the 1/8th, yet there is an update 03/27/15 from IHRA that states you must obtain a competition driver license if you run faster than 6.40 in the 1/8th as it corrects page 81 in the rules. What are the IHRA requirements for the competition license , faster than 6.40 or 6.50? Thanks in advance as I spent hours trying to figure which on stands.

It's always been 6.40 in IHRA. I was at the Bracket Finals one year and the weather was amazing. My car went 6.30 off the trailer...it was always a consistent 6.45 car. I had to de tune it after the first pass on Friday night, I hadn't made my license passes at that point.

Any track "officials" from a IHRA track that can help me out here with the 6:40 - 6:50 cutoff point for the competition license, thanks. Still trying to figure out why the online form shows 6:50.

Here is the link direct from the 2015 Rule book. License required for 0.00-9.99 (6.49 1/8 Mile) Pretty clear to me. And I would go by the rule book personally.
