Try short shifting the 1-2 shift by 1000-1500 rpms. Your car is pretty light, and I would bet the revs come up so quick it doesnt accelerate the car as efficiently as it could. You can only apply as much power as you have resistance. Your car would actually probably be a good canidate for a glide. You may slow a bit in the sixty, but I would be you will make it all back and then some by the end.

Good luck

Why is you mph so low for a 10.17 sec pass?

Fuel system issues? Converter/box issues?
probably the 4.56 gear. I just bought a 4.11 for it but am having second thought about a 4.30.

Definitely work on the heads. I think you're a bit "under-headed" for a 436 shortblock. Could also go with a tighter L/S cam with those heads and that many inches.

The 950 HP is a bit small, it flows like 830 on a good day. The 950 HP is a great torquey carb with its 750 main body and 850 baseplate. A 1000 HP might get you a tenth but thats about it. You know anyone that will lend you one?

you dont have enough airflow for the cubic inches. the dart heads would flow more assuming your heads are not ported but the cncd dart 227 heads dont have near the numbers that the afr 227s have out of the box. i would have the heads and intake ported and a carb built to match the combo you will then be aat your target et for sure

Actually, I have a buddies in my garage. Its a 1050 Dominator on a Super Sucker 4500 to 4150 adapter.

LSA should be 106 to 108, 4.10's with that short tire, Strip Dominator or a Super Victor intake, the Dominator will be worth almost a tenth IF it is set up right, and the -10's are old stuff. Darts for an unported head, AFR's if you spend the extra for ported. You run good for the stuff you have.

I have close to the same cam specs as you have, I have 11.25 to 1 comp and 13/4 headers with 3'' pipes,3450lbs I run 10.05 @ 133.75 mph in the heat with a 4.10 gear on pump gas I use the dart 227 cnc heads out of the box. I also have the holley keath dorton intake with an adaptor and a 1050 pro systems carb. If it were me I would send your heads and have them ported or buy a set of the dart, brodix or afr cnc 227 heads.

The et from your current combo is not too bad actually.
But the heads / intake / carb are on the small side to feed what is essentially a big block.

To get you to your goal of .2, your going to need a better top end combo: heads / intake / carb. I also agree that ideally a narrower LSA cam would also be a benefit as well as a possible gear change that had been mentioned.

When you start head hunting, check out Curtis Bogg's web site as well. www.raceflowdevelopment.com
He does heads and intakes and likes to do them together so they work together. All work is done based on your application and his experience.

All the above being said, assuming that your chassis is sorted out to the inth degree ??
