I have a mopar 727 trans with a T brake that came with the car and It's b/n and what's happening is when the car is off you can hear the brake come on and off as I hit and release the button , but when the car is running and I hit the button the brake will come on and hold the car so that part works , but when I release the button the brake doesn't release , can this be corrected .

I have no idea of how's brake this is.

If the trans is mechanically sound, the problem is in the valve body. I really liked the Griner vb's but he's not making them any more. Not sure where to send you.

Do you think it could be the solenoid and can you get that style , the trans works great .

Its possible. Will it unscrew from the trans? If so they sometimes used a PG solenoid.

If you look at the bottom pic it looks like there's some screws with a plate that hold it into place , I've never had it apart .
