I take it this is for the Shoebox ? I think i saw Mike had a C&S blowthru and an S480 for the car? He should be fine since he only has stock bowls on the carb and he is running E85 so he will run out of fuel around 800-900 crank hp.
I know the guy with the 5.3 and the dyno owner. Dyno guy has zero to gain with inflated numbers. Owner of engine built it with help from his dad who has tuned both Top Alcohol and Pro Mod cars so I think they know what they are doing. You don't make 50 dyno pulls and not scatter it. Would he get a fair dyno pull as it can show whatever number you want? I would hate to place a bet that he wouldn't show for a fair shake. He had a 4cyl. in it before this that ran low 9's @ 2600lbs.
I'm not making any bets I just want to make the 1000 hp just to prove I can. A lot of old timers don't want to believe it can be done because they have been building motors for years. But a lot has changed! Like 4cyl making 1000 hp that's impressive built or stock it's still bad ass.

Just ordered a new set of heads for my setup and swapping over from hydraulic to a solid setup with T&D shaft rockers.. Was going to get a set of Black Mambas, but they don't make them in .875.. What would be a good lifter for a high rpm, twin turbo setup? What are you guys using?
