Engine is just getting finished up...

588 BBC, RFD Pro Victors, Aluminum Solid block, Cam Motion Solid Roller,Pair of Precision Pro mod 90 turbos, 220 lb injectors, BS3. Will run either C or Q 16.

Short block has Oliver rods, Lunati pro series crank, and Arias forced induction pistons.

Waiting on the new Super Victor intake from RFD for fuel injection.

What kinda hp do you think this will make?

Thanks

any more ideas ?
Spent all your money on the motor now you can't afford dyno time? Just kidding. I do have one serious question though. A engine like that , with the best of everything, and you stick a converted CAST intake on it??? Class rules? I mean most times with a piece like that you see a dedicated sheet metal EFI intake not a converted super victor.
I haven't made up my my mind on the dyno yet. That was my next question to ask...lol. I personally think I should maybe do a chassis dyno to get the tune close and then head to the track but I'll ask my YB members who have been there and done that.

On the intake, from the looks of this new 632 Super Victor from RFD, it seems to be the best bang for the buck. I've inquired about sheet metal intakes and yea they would make more power but for the best bang for the buck, a really nice conventional will be okay. I'm deployed right now so I have a few months to make a decision on the intake, but the new super vic looks promising.....

Thanks

Question for you. May be a dumb one but you say the block is solid aluminum? Is there no water jackets in the block? If this is the case is this a custom block or built intentionally like this? What block is it? That thing should make massive power. I couldnt even estimate but i would think at least 2500.
Not a dumb question at all bro, I happened to stumble upon Old MUSI built Rodeck block when stationed in Texas. I was so curious about the block after buying it that I sent it back to John Rodeck himself to have it checked out. He was quite impressed to see on of his old blocks in that kind of shape. The guy that had it was an old bracket racer and it had been ran for two years.

So it's and old 481 solid rodeck block, patterned off the gen IV bbc. They used these in alcohol blown dragsters back in the day. From what I've found, they made in the 2500 ball park back then.

So no water thru block at all, just through the heads is what I'm planning.

Cool that Rodeck looked at it himself. That thing is gonna make big power. Good luck with it. THanks for fighting for us even if i am Canadian. My grandfather and some of his brothers were in the military up here. Guys like that and yourself are true heroes. Thanks and good luck with the build. Hold on too. LOL.
Thanks,

Looking forward to getting back and finishing this project!!!!! Will post pics soon too.

Greg
Im guessing 3000 hp.What did your heads end up flowing? What car are you putting this in?
I didn't flow the head myself, so that is unknown to me. Currently building a 25.2/25.3 Stock suspension 02 mustang. Radial tire car.
Should have pics in the next couple weeks of the build.

Nice.I was looking at those heads as well Curtis was saying a little over 500 cfm.
For that much power and well money invested, strap it to an engine dyno before it ever goes in the car. Way less to screw up on ya. Get it safe there then take it to the track and creep up on the tune from there.

Do you know how much trouble that is to put a twin turbo setup on a engine dyno? We always put ours on a chassis dyno.

From the flow numbers and engine size it sounds like it would make similar power to our old big block. Cool build keep us updated!
Thanks Zach,
Leaning towards the chassis dyno when it's all together.

pm sent too
