Anyone using Howard's Cranks, Rods & Camshafts in 565 or Larger Big Block Chevys in the 1000 HP range? Would like to get some feedback on the quality/reliability of their stuff.

Thanks

Don't know about the difference in the rods but we run Howards Billet in our 438" LSx. We've made 1100rwhp # 13psi and been 178mph on low boost @ 3300lbs. Pulled the pan last week and the bearings look great.

I used their pro series crank in my first blown motor, made 1900 hp, was still std. std when I sold the motor 2 years later.. louisville forge makes their cranks, and callies, callies was doing all the machine work, and nitrideing.. howards used to advertize this.. but i believe callies told them to stop.. If you lay the callies next to the pro sries you cannot tell the difference.. I wouldn"t hesitate for a second to buy another..
