At the crank? I say about 1100-1200, not a very aerodynamic car. Now you are asking about ET which is VERY dependent on suspension. MPH would be much easier to determine needed HP.

to go 8.60 at 3250 on a 275 radial in a '88 style Monte Carlo at 4000 DA and 138 water grains?
With my limited brainpower I will say 900-920 at the rear wheel and you have a correction factor of around 26% to correct to stp. What was the mph that will tell the story a little better.

what kind of air you figure this at? We run in shit air like chad asked and run almost idenical 1/8 th you listed with another 70 hp on dyno.136 wgs is pretty hard on hp in na state.when we run in that air our box shows 1.10 area correction.

This is why I don't have much faith in et calculators.we have engines that dyno low hp compared to et ran most of time.I attribute the better et to hood scoop help.have engine that shows 1027 on dyno.it run 5.44-125ish in 4180 da and 137wgs.in 1200 da -56 wgs it will run 5.29-30.maybe this engine isn't good example and or car is piece of shit.but in my mind I thought it was decent numbers for what dyno shows.this is at 3285.maybe mufflers is killing my dyno number and or my tire has had it.

Wallace 1/8th mile calculator says 3285 lbs that 1027 hp @ crank is 5.53.I'm guessing with hood scoop car I'm referencing makes more than 1027 like dyno shows.

Yes. He has a set of Edelbrock RR v2.80ED/RR and burr finished 2971.

Do you know Jamie Busch?
Wow, nice combo for sure. I have watched that car getting dialed in my last two outings. Real clean and they have it putting the power down nice!

I do not know Jamie. Radial guy?
