I didn't build the motor so I don't know for sure. All the previous owner knew was that it was a flat tappet. It lopes hard.

If you havent been to a chassis dyno yet, you need to go to determine where peak TQ and HP are made. This info is your friend when it comes to the right converter, shift points etc....
You are asking us for an uneducated guess as to how much the right converter will help you but we dont know how much your current one is off without info. Weight with driver, tire size and everything else will help with this.

It all depends on the combo, I picked up 3 tenths with just a converter change. Good Luck.

I plan to call ptc when I can afford a converter. The car pulls hard starting at around 3800-4000rpm and pulls hard to about 6200. Below 3500 its a dog. If I idle it into the lights and flash it when the light turns green it will run 8.00s if I try and footbrake it to 2300 or so it will run 8.10's. If I get into the high 7's I will be happy

sorry the best 60ft was 1.849 idling it into the lights and flashing the converter. If I try and footbrake it it will run 1.90 60fts usually

If your inerested in a 10" PTC 3500-3800 converter send me a PM me. A friend has one for $200, has N20 ballon plates also. It works great, he changed his combo and went to a 9" PTC

I figure if I can get it to 60ft itshould be in the 7.70-7.80 range. A buddy of dads has a car that runs 8.20's and will cut low 1.70's 60fts but only run 82mph. I figure I have the power to run in the 7's easily
