Sbf 440 yates head
3050 lbs.
C6 4700 stall footbrake
3.73 gears

The higher i rev this thing the faster it goes. So far footbrake launch 3k shift at 7600 car as run.
60ft=1.37
330ft=3.96
660ft=6.11
mph=114.05
1000ft=7.98
mph=129.75
1/4 et=9.58
mph=140.05

It goes through the lights at 6700. If i shift at 7400 it will lose a tenth so i know i havent reached the right shift point yet, still playing with carb also.
would a set of 4.30 or 4.56 pick up et and mph? What would your guys guess be?

put a 4 speed in it! LOL!

you should gear it so it matches your shift rpm's at the finish line

keep in mind it may now run 142 mph or so with the new gearing,so just factor that in

I went from 430's to 486's and picked up 1 tenth 1 mph

small blocks are way more sensitive to gearing,so you may see bigger gains...
