Not sure I like the round port idea on a SBC also you are stuck with there intake. I would suggest looking at the new AFR245s, Airwolf245s, Allpro227s, BES has a killer 23* head also that they build. There's always the Dart Pro-1s and track1s from Brodix.

I haven't used them yet. However, I did talk to Jeff at Brodix and their is a raised runner version of it that they are working on that is going to be really good. They had one pair when I was down their this summer. It looked really nice but since then they have done some more changes and made it better.

The 10xAP heads runs about $5500 dollars. If you run that head you also need shafts. So might as well switch to 15degree stuff. Now the 10x and 10xRi are cheaper but the Brodix cnc ports on them are out dated. If you port them by hand they can be amazing. The 10xRi can go 370cfm and higher if you get a cnc casting and hand port them. You better be dedicated though because they come real small. Chad has seen the ones I am working on now before porting. My hands are almost numb porting them and I still have about 40percent to go.

i asked on here about the sbc oval port heads when they 1st came out and pretty much everyone who knows heads stated WHY !!! would they use a oval port design when compared to the standard rectangle port shape . for a design that is now a couple yrs old i have yet to hear of anyone using this design and have yet to see any of the mags hyping them either , as suggested already if staying with a 23deg set-up there are several other big port designs that i would look into as well .

You probably don't here about them because they don't whore them out on the internet and magazines. They also cost more than the AFR's which probably isn't helping their sales. I do think they will make good power and would probably match other competitors power or beat them. Someone needs to test them.

thats where i 1st seen the heads was in a couple car mags a few yrs back , they have been out since late 08 early 09 and again i have yet to even hear of anyone who has used the heads or even hear about a comparison between the oval port design and a standard port design from someone who took the plunge and tried them . if you are familiar with them maybe you could share some info

They have been a few magazines but not near as many as other companies. I wish I did have some experience with the heads just so I could see what they could do. I know what theory says but practice can be a different story. I haven't asked brodix but you may call them and ask them if they have dynoed it against one of their other square port trac 1 cnc heads. They have their own dyno and actually test their stuff. I think they don't post most of their own dyno stuff because most people wouldn't beleive it because they are the ones selling the stuff. If you find out let me know. You can PM me.
