Since we had the thread about the 400 sbc lets see how fast you guys have gone with your 383's. Combo's and weight!

i just built a 385 (.040 over) 6' rod, mahle flat tops, 11.5 to 1 pro topline 220 cc heads, 627 solid roller, strip dominator intake, 750 hp carb, 125 hp plate. 4 speed manual trans and 4:71 gear in a 3700 pound car. hoping to dip in the 10's on 275's

stock block n/a 3000 lbs 23 deg outta the box heads 6.00 @ 112, 9.50's 138 mph

Its a 388 13-1 dart 215 heads, comp cam 670 lift. All the parts out of the box, with a 200 shot plate system. th350 trans

83 monte carlo ,383 stock block ,camel hump heads,.530 solid cam ,750 carb ,175 shot 10.65 at 127 ,6.80 102 in1/8 .3400 lb street car with power steering.

Saw a well known N20 Drag Radial guy from Woodsboro Md run 8.70s @158 more times than I can remember Stock block, ported Darts, solid roller, 4.11s, 10.5 tire, and 500shot out of the hole 3200lb Camaro w/FB Glide. Mason Dixon and 75-80 Dragway late 90s

I have a Ford 9" with 3:89 gears. It has a set of home made slapper bars on it
Well the obviously work! I have a 9in with the same gear going in. I have been told my slid-a-links will need to be modified to fit around the 3in tube housing. Thats why i asked, thanks.
