Trying to decide if I need a sr or hyd roller for my street car.
Really like to go hyd ,because of High spring pressure
And lifter failures associated with sr.

What engine platform? What valve weights/sizes?

Theres guys in the 7’s and 4’s in 1/8 with hyd rollers. You do your homework they can work

Also not every solid roller needs high pressure. Theres 8000 rpm solids with 190 lb seat pressure or less lol

Its all in the cam lobe and valvetrain weight/geometry/stiffness

Fwiw i have turned 2.1” sbc valve 7200 under 30 lbs boost with hyd roller 185 lbs seat 440’s open. Street driven 1200 whp estimated

This is true. I've tuned a few a few SBF with and without hyd. rollers. The SBF hyd. rollers that I have tuned liked to stay under 72-7300 rpm. They where your basic street car but went low 8's near 170 at 3200lbs+ on a single 76mm..

You don't really need to go big and hydraulic cams work real well. I've gone 8.22 at 168 in a 3550lb car with a small hydraulic roller. Cam card is back in Orlando but lift is around .580" and duration is 244 intake and 240 exhaust if I remember correctly. I use single beehive springs with 150# seat pressure and OEM lifters. Runs at least to 7000, haven't had to go higher rpm. This is with only 25 lbs boost.

Car also can get almost 18 mpg also.

I have a few tricks left that would make the car faster but it's only certified to 8.50 so I just haven't tried.
