If you are talking about the seal in the front timing cover of a Chebby. Too much crankcase pressure can do that.

Other than that "fall out" indicates no press fit.

True story.......in the eighties worked for a small HVAC/R outfit. We had a V6 S10 that used and dripped oil. Boss gave it to his daughter to drive for a few weeks and she froze up the engine out of oil. Boss wanted me to tear it down.


Here it was, I had the block, crank, rods all on the bench, WHERE'S THE REAR SEAL?



THERE HAD NEVER BEEN ONE IN THAT ENGINE
