What's everyone running for tire pressure? Is the general rule of thumb up for more bite down for less? Where do you go over center when going up? Do they start to not add bite over 7.5 psi or so?

Thanks,
Billy T

More equals more bite at some point more will take bite away. I think it's best to play around with it a bit and find out what your car may seem to like.

We've run anywhere from 5 to a little over 6 lbs, just depends on track conditions and if more wheelspeed is required or more bite. You are correct, less air for more wheelspeed. As for the middle, it seems around 5.75.

Most people use compressed air for pressure but I have heard many a good team use nitrogen. Also does anyone check tire psi AFTER the burnout? Seems like 7lbs would be 7.5-8 after a heat cycle. Maybe that's why they use nitrogen?
