Interested in the Holley or aftermarket 4150 blocks, probably billet, that
have all the orifice adjustability.
Any one brand particularly better quality, or more useful ?

BLP makes a wide body metering block that can be 2 circuit or 3 circuit. It requires bending the pump arms and longer bowl bolts, but is a adjustable as you would ever want. I have a set on my 1250, set up for 2 circuit, lower idle feed restrictors, 2 .028" emulsions. Work great. I got mine thru Mark Whitener, (jmarkaudio). He also replaced my boosters with a set of his custom 16 hole ones.He is in Orlando FL. near BLP. BLP makes parts that many custom carb builders use.

BLP for everything holley.... and their bowl and other gaskets are the best.

Depends on what they are for, but for readily available the BLP 5125 blocks would be my suggestion for a 4150 on gas or E85.
