When I open up an internal data log, it has something like DZL (I think) on the end, and when I close it, it becomes a duplicate with just 2 letters on the end
Bat. died on the laptop so I cant open it to get exact letters-anyway, why does it do that, or am I closing it wrong

It's a DLZ file and if I remember correctly The DLZ is a compressed version of the log from when it is downloaded to your pc. Tom K. from Holley told me to just delete the DLZ version of the file.

Correct...
in the ECU, Holley Uses a compressed version of the Log to make it faster to download (it used to take a lot longer to transfer logs from the ECU to your PC)

so when you open the DLZ file created by the ECU, it converts it into a non compressed version for your PC
and it leaves both copies on your PC

you can delete the DLZ file if you wish...
