I have a new HP, was trying to load a tune from my other car, all it says when I
try is comparing, then time out after each try. I don't get the message where I
can load laptop to ECU. I double checked the power. Not sure if it affects anything
or not, but I am using a bat. for the 2 power leads, and a bat charger for the fuse box,
so the bat and ign wires have a diff source. (car is under const., so shit everywhere, lol.)

I went ahead and wired everything in permanent, all grounds, etc, went to try and load
the tune, sync'ed up like it should, tune is all loaded. Guessing it didn't like 2 diff voltage
sources.

Just an FYI (maybe its something you're aware of already) that IF the car is still under construction, and you will still be doing some welding, make sure all your electronics are disconnected from your power source.

Most def, on one car I only made 2 small spot welds on an ex pipe, corp. the tune,
but luckily I had a back up, and reloaded it. Learned my lesson.
