Guys,
The last batch of 558-312 Holley EFI harnesses (Holley HP Smart Coil Sub Harness), had a labeling mistake on them.

Boxes will have date code 14161 on them.

The "GM-ODD" harness had the cylinder identification labels swapped on them. The harness needs to be "flipped" as it is marked to be installed correctly. On a GM, instead of installing "Cyl 1" on Cyl 1, it should go to Cyl 7. Cylinder 1 should have a "yellow" trigger wire in it. 7 should have a "green" trigger wire. (all other wire colors are the same on each cylinder) They should be as follows.

GM-1/Ford-5 should be put on cylinders GM-7/Ford8

GM-3/Ford-6 should be put on cylinders GM-5/Ford 7

GM-5/Ford-7 should be put on cylinders GM-3/Ford 6

GM-7/Ford-8 should be put on cylinders GM-1/Ford 5

The "GM EVEN" harness in the kit is labeled fine.

Sorry for the headache.

Yeah, I beat my head on the steering wheel for a few hours on that one. :smt021 Then, on the same car, Auto Rod sent me a switch panel kit with the ribbon cable inputs mislabeled... Oh what a fun day THAT was. :-/

Is this something I should look into with mine I just received this week?
Yes it is Verify basically the color of the wires at the coils. On a Ford the correct coil trigger wire colors are
#5 Light Green w/ white stripe.
#6 Light Blue w/ white stripe
#7 Gray w/ white stripe
#8 Yellow w/ white stripe

When it comes wired incorrectly mine was
#5 Yellow w/ white stripe
#6 Gray w/ white stripe
#7 Light blue w/ white stripe
#8 Light Green w/ white stripe
