What is the most hp you've seen from a conventionally headed BBC?

BES built a conventional headed, short deck, cast intake, single carb 611" BBC that makes 1248 n/a for a guy on here. There's a post somewhere on here about it. I'm sure someones made more with a conv. head but 1248 is stout for that specific combo.

Given parts that are commonly available. I'd say 3000hp is doable, durability is another issue.

I had heard that the conv BBC heads were limiting power to ~2500-2700 but didn't know who had what out there. I'm doing a 540 on twins now and trying to figure out what my limits are.
