I was directed here and told you guys would be able to tell me what I got here.

To my knowledge it is a complete twin supercharger for a BBC from Paxton Products. The part# I show is SN9320152.

I am looking to either buy from or sell for a friend.

Can I get your opinions on what I have, the application and pricing.

Thank you.

Does it look like any of these....

If so It sounds like a kit that was being sold on Ebay for historic, classic Mustangs and Cobras.....

The above apparently was good for 700 - 900hp on the Cobra and GT500

This is a Twin Novi 1200 but I'm not sure if it is available in kit form like the other vintage one.....

Oh and this is the ebay Kit.......http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAXT...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a62fa52f8

It doesn't seem like it is suited to much over 400 cubes as the Ford 427 and 6.1 Hemi in the Baracudda suggest.....having said that it seemed to be a low boost deal at just 5psi......I guess there's a limit to V belts when driving blowers as opposed to alternators and cooling fans.....!

Finally here's a Paxton twin Novi 1000 set up on a Studebaker 289....

Thank you.

The info I got from paxton is they were made by paxton in the 90's and then the design was sold to Paradise Wheel who still sells them. They are a 5 to 6 lb boost that makes about 100hp per side and should be oiled with Ford automatic trans fluid.

Next question... what is something like this worth?

You would have to find the guy interested in this kit for it's unique vintage design . As far as a performance standpoint its value is probably not that much as there are so many better options that are relatively inexpensive for that power level. You might be better off keeping it and if you ever have a use for it down the road you have it . I have a feeling you would have to practically give it away which would not be of much benefit to your friend. If he really wants to sell them see what paradise wheel is selling them for and use that price to guage the value .

well the ebay kit which looks like it's the same on is $4100 which includes an intake, blowers brackets, v-belts, pulleys, corrugated tubing, carb hats and pulleys. I can't see any fuel system in the photo so am not sure.....

As Vader Ta suggests if it's brand new then ask for close to new price if you have a buyer with a GT500 or Cobra clone. You could try to sell it to Paradise Wheels or the Ebay seller......

Otherwise hang on to it till you get exactly the right type of buyer...

A good technique is to almost copy the Ebay add I showed you. But sell it for maybe $3800 if it's nearly new. That way it always comes up when some one is looking at the other Ebay add....
