I have my motor apart for springs and solid roller lifters, and I have a few questions.
My old springs were at 1.93 installed height 180-220lbs on the seat so I decided to replace them. While at it I decided to upgrade to Ti retainers which brought installed height to 2.00 inches. I am using the same 3/8 10* locks with the new retainers and it looks like they will hit the lash caps, so maybe they were all along?
Valve tip is .220 from the groove to top of valve, lash caps are .171 tall and .056 thick and the locks have the grooves for the caps.how can I get a true measurement to see if they will hit?

Measure from top of valve down to the bottom of the valve lock recess for the caps (locks installed on valves). Then measure depth of lash cap where it sits on valve tip. Subtract and make sure the end of the valve will hold the cap up off the lock.
