i have a 383 sbc with 230cc dart pro1 heads 600lift solid roller cam 114lsa i have a gt47-88mm and it has the 3.5 exh wheel with a a/r .96 hot side i can make 7 psi on the trans brake at 3300rpm am not sure with the .96 on it if am losing a lot of top end i run 1/4 mile only

You need to measure the backpressure! It also makes a difference on how hard you are turning it and how much boost.

You need to put a tap into the exhaust (pre turbo) and log you exhaust back pressure vs boost.
If you can't data log at least get a gauge with memory. and measure peaks.
T-4 now?

How much power are you wanting to make with that turbo??? That is a small A/R for a motor that size.

You will need the 1.23 or 1.39 with that large of a motor. Sounds like its got a healthy cam on it, so back pressure it something you don't want. The longer you hold those valves open with high back pressure the worse reversion will get.

ok i just picked up a 1.39 how much do you think ill pick up in et my last run foot brake with a 1.65 60ft ran 10.47 at 132mpr 16 psi

How heavy is the car??? 16psi and only 132mph....something isn't right. That's like 600rwhp if that.

I bet it slows down on the footbrake! Transbrake is needed to get the boost up for a good launch.

What else is in your combo? Transmission, gear, weight, tire, downpipe size, etc.

At 3200lbs, my s480 went 145mph on 15psi. 355sbc, Pro 1 230's.

its 3800 with me in it that pass was the 1st time out with the new motor its on 93 pump gas with only 16 deg of timeing and i have the trans brake but the car just spon the tire so i need to work on that i have a th400 373 gear 295 50 16 m/t drag rad 4.5 down pipe 2.5 cross over. i did want to put to much timing in it for some reson my data loger was not holding the log after the run

Wow, there is a lot left on the table for sure! Once you put good fuel in it and turn the timing up some it should run good. Are you intercooled? I think most guys with 3-speeds are having better luck with 3.27 gears. Your starting line ratio (with the 3.73) is going to be hard to hook.

My car on E85 is at 28deg total timing down track at 15-16psi.

yea i got a meth inj kit to just try to work the bugs out dont want to blow it up and i have a 3.73 becuse i did have a nos motor but i do need a 3.55 or 3.27 i sure hope it picks up some et when its all done
