Hey all. I need some help selecting the right flexplate for my father's 1967 Mustang. It is sporting a mild 302 and the stock 45 year old C4. Sure he put a shift kit in and a decent converter, but now it's time to upgrade. I sold him my PA Super Comp C4 and he will be using my 10" PTC converter. I still have the bell I was running along with the JW flexplate but it's balanced for a 50oz motor not the 28oz he has. The converter is a 164 tooth and I told him he would just need the correct flexplate and he would be good to go. So anyone have any input? Best I can tell it's the 11.5" converter bold pattern.

what about the balance being for a 50oz vs. a 28oz. Can I get it rebalanced?

Why not buy a new 28oz flex plate from JW? Then just sell the old 50oz flex plate that you currently have

If he has the original C4 you might want to check spline count.

You know, the old 24 vs 26 spline, before or after 70 deal.
